The islands of Borneo and Sumatra continue to yield new discoveries, including 52 new species in Borneo last year alone. As the World Wildlife Fund's managing director for Borneo and Sumatra, Adam Tomasek is working to save the plants and animals of this region before they disappear.

Tomasek joins National Geographic Weekend producer Ben Shaw in Borneo to talk about his work on the Heart of Borneo network. Ben traveled to Indonesia on a Gatekeeper Editors trip organized by the International Reporting Project (IRP).
