Lauren Bohn is the GroundTruth Project’s inaugural Middle East correspondent based in Istanbul. Previously a columnist for Foreign Policy magazine, she is the co-founder of Foreign Policy Interrupted, an initiative dedicated to amplifying female voices in foreign policy. Bohn is also the co-founder of SchoolCycle, a United Nations Foundation campaign in Malawi to provide bikes for adolescent girls to get to school. She was the founding assistant editor of the Cairo Review of Global Affairs in Egypt, where she was a Fulbright fellow and Pulitzer Center grantee. Bohn was a 2012 Overseas Press Club fellow in Jerusalem with the Associated Press, and a 2013 and 2014 UN Foundation Press fellow. A finalist for a 2012 Livingston Award, she’s reported from Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, Syria, the U.A.E., Israel, Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Zambia, Malawi, and Nigeria for the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, CNN, NBC News, BusinessWeek, Marie Claire, TIME, Newsweek, Foreign Policy and others.

Bohn was awarded a prior fellowship with IRP, reporting from Zambia in 2013.
