Mandakini Gahlot is a New Delhi-based journalist who reports across platforms in print and television. She is the India Correspondent of France 24 – an international television channel broadcasted in English, French and Arabic. She covers news and features from across India and neighbouring South Asian countries, particularly on issues related to health, development, gender and politics. She is also a member of the international nonprofit journalism organization Associated Reporters Abroad, which covers news from the ground across the globe. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, GlobalPost, USA Today, Religion News Service, Indian Express, Caravan magazine, Arte TV, and France Televisions. She has also co-authored a documentary film on honour killings in India, which was broadcasted on France Televisions. In 2014, she was awarded the World Press Institute fellowship and spent 10 weeks in the United States exploring government surveillance, and health emergencies.
