“Being Wrongâ€: Kathryn Schulz to Speak at IRP Event About Her Ad
Kathryn Schulz, a former IRP Fellow, will speak about her critically-acclaimed book, Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error
Kathryn Schulz, a former IRP Fellow, will speak about her critically-acclaimed book, Being Wrong: Adventures in the Margin of Error on February 7, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Rome Auditorium of the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Schulz, a 2004 IRP Fellow, has received rave reviews for Being Wrong, which was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and was one of Amazon's 10 best nonfiction books of 2010. Newsweek's review of the book, newly released in paperback, said: "Intellectualism made fun! Not many books managed to drop names like Voltaire, Shakespeare, Benjamin Franklin, Foucault and Plato and still be entertaining. Even fewer manage to blend Socrates and Beyonce in the same sentence without missing a beat. But Schulz does." Admission is free but space is limited.
