"Dialogue from Idaho to Iran" takes a rare look at everyday life in Iran, concentrating on the small but determined environmental movement in that country. Traveling alone with a video camera, producer Marcia Franklin talks with Iranians conservationists about the decline in Iran's species and habitat. She also talks with Vice President Massoumeh Ebtekar, the head of Iran's Department of Environment and the former spokesperson for the hostage-takers at the American Embassy in Tehran in 1979. Franklin also interviews Shirin Ebadi, the only Iranian and first Muslim woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
