Isabelle Mayault is a freelance journalist currently based in Geneva, Switzerland. She has lived and worked in the Middle-East for 6 years (Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey). She regularly reports from West Africa. Her work has appeared in the Guardian, Le Monde Afrique, Al Jazeera, Roads and Kingdoms among other publications. She wrote the memoir Jours Tranquilles au Caire (Riveneuve, 2015) and co-edited the literary guide Uncommon Cairo.
