Sophie Cousins is a health journalist based in South Asia. She has written for such publications as the New York Times, the Guardian, Foreign Policy and NPR. Her work focuses on the systems that perpetuate gender inequality and the impact this has on women's and girls' health. Prior to moving to the region in 2015, she was based in Lebanon and Iraq where she focused on refugee health.
