Children in Soweto

These are today's children on the streets of Soweto. The same streets where students fought for freedom.

 

Tumi is my hero. When she said the words "What about me? What if I'm HIV positive?" I wondered how many other South African children could speak of the same fears.

Two HIV-positive orphans

These are two HIV-positive orphans who have found a home at Acres of Love. One was found sitting next to her mother who had died from AIDS. She'd been sitting there for a week.
