Picking coca
A woman and her young son pick coca in the Putumayo region of Colombia. Plan Colombia is trying to expand social programs to help the poor.

 

A coca grower in Putumayo forms a ball of coca paste in a laboratory shack on the corner of his fields. The paste will be sold to cocaine manufacturers and, more than likely, smuggled to North America, Europe or Asia.
