Ruxandra Guidi is a freelance radio and print news correspondent for South and Central America. Since 2007, she has reported from Bolivia, Brazil, Peru, Panama, Venezuela and Mexico. In early 2008, she worked on a series of reports for print, radio and television about the lives of coca farmers in Los Yungas, Bolivia.

Previously, she did production and reporting work for the BBC public radio news program, "The World." Her stories focused on Latin American politics, human rights issues, rural communities, immigration, popular culture and music. She filed reports from Miami, Austin, the US-Mexico border, Mexico, Honduras and Turkey.

After earning a Master�s degree in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley in 2002, she worked for independent radio producers The Kitchen Sisters. In 2003, she moved to Austin, where she did production and reporting work for NPR�s weekly show, "Latino USA."

Guidi has also reported and produced features and documentaries for the BBC World Service in Spanish, "World Vision Report," Canadian Broadcasting Corporation�s "Dispatches" and "Marketplace" radio programs.
