Antrim Caskey is a freelance documentary photographer currently living in New York City. Antrim covered the presidential election this year, from the DNC in Boston, to protests in New York City during the RNC, to swing voters in Pennsylvania, ending in Election Day in Cleveland, Ohio. Antrim's election coverage has appeared in the Indypendent, a biweekly paper published by New York Indymedia Center. Antrim's work has been shown in three recent group shows. In August, her work from Ground Zero in the days after the attacks on the World Trade Center was at the G.A.S. Gallery (NYC) in a show honoring independent media photojournalism. In August, Antrim's work from the protests at the RNC appeared in two shows: at the Brecht Forum (NYC) and at a gallery in Buffalo, NY. In September 2003, Antrim won a IRP Fellowship in International Journalism which took her to Washington, DC to study at SAIS (Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies) and then a six week reporting trip to Argentina, where she shot a video documentary about the human costs of the economic collapse. Antrim's work has appeared in the Indypendent, the New York Times Magazine, the Baltimore Sun, the Globe and Mail and Travel+Leisure. Currently, Antrim is working on a long-term project about religion in America.
