IRP Fellows and program staff learn to evacuate
a wounded person using an improvised stretcher. Stretchers can be
fashioned from common items such as a blanket and pieces of wood
and can save lives when properly used.

IRP Fellow Jeremy Kahn volunteers to assist Centurion
staffers in demonstrating how to carry a wounded person without
causing additional injury. In many cases, more harm can be caused
by incorrectly moving someone with severe injuries than by leaving
them where they fell.
