Nearly 300 journalists and news executives from around the country and overseas attended a conference June 11, 2002 on the impact of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on international news coverage. The conference, sponsored by the International Reporting Project, and held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., was entitled "International News and the Media: The Impact of September 11."
