Panoka interviewed nomadic herders including
77-year-old Adiyasuren (above) in central Mongolia.

When Mongolian grasslands became threatened, government leaders and environmentalists found help in Colorado. Producer Anna Panoka recently traveled to Mongolia, where many rely on herding for survival. She spoke with herders about the impact on their lifestyle and the environment. Then Ryan Warner speaks with Chris Pague, senior conservation ecologist for the Nature Conservancy in Colorado and part of the ongoing conservation effort.
