JORDAN, January 22, 2000
This month Jordan officially opened the John the Baptist Archaeological Park.
The place: Wadi Kharrar on the east bank of the Jordan River.
Jordanians claim it's the site where Jesus was baptized.
As Heather Szerlag reports, Jordan hopes for a tourism boom
if they can convince travellers to make the site a stop on
their millennial tour of the Holy Land.
