Gregory Warner
Program: Spring 2007

Gregory Warner is a freelance radio reporter with WHYY-FM in Philadelphia. Until recently he was a reporter at the NPR affiliate North Country Public Radio, in the dairy country of northern New York. He’s contributed stories to "All Things Considered" and "This American Life," and is a regular contributor to WNYC’s "Studio 360." His profile of a high school sophomore with autism won a regional Edward R. Murrow award. Gregory has also experimented with multi-media storytelling; two of his slideshow documentaries were included in a 12-city tour of the Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival. Before becoming a journalist, he investigated prison mental health care for the State of New York, taught mystical Jewish philosophy at a university in Ukraine, and was the house pianist for an Easthampton piano bar. He has a B.A. in English from Yale University, and learned radio at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
