Tina Nguyen is a Boston-based freelance documentary filmmaker. She has co-produced films examining immigration trends and college disparities in the U.S, worldwide emerging infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS treatment in Africa and the science of phobias. She has filmed in Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Botswana, Vietnam, Thailand and Hong Kong, in addition to throughout the United States. Her reports have aired on PBS and National Geographic. Previously, she was a staff reporter for the Los Angeles Times. She earned her B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.
