Evan Ratliff
Evan Ratliff is a freelance writer based in San Francisco. As a contributing editor for Wired magazine, he has written widely on science, technology, government, and culture. He is the co-author of "Safe: The Race to Protect Ourselves in a Newly Dangerous World," about terrorism-related science and technology research. His reporting and humor writing have also appeared in Outside, The New Yorker, and The New York Times, and he is a regular contributor to ReadyMade, a bi-monthly magazine covering do-it-yourself culture. Previously, he worked as the research editor of Wired, where he began his career as an intern in 1998. He graduated with a degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University.
