Sarah Wildman is an assistant editor at The New Republic and a contributing writer at the Advocate magazine. Prior to joining The New Republic in 1999, she conducted research for the Oral History department at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and served in the Communications Department of the New Israel Fund. Her freelance work has appeared in such publications as The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, The Washington City Paper, Salon, The Jerusalem Report, O (the Oprah magazine) and Shout, among others. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wesleyan University.
