Amanda Pike
Amanda Pike is a freelance television journalist based in San Francisco. She has reported and produced documentaries for CBS, ABC, National Geographic, A&E;, Lifetime and The Learning Channel, among others. Her work has often focused on extreme political groups within the United States -- she once spent six weeks with the members of a right-wing militia in Utah, documenting their preparations for an armed standoff with the government. In 1995, Ms. Pike helped train Palestinian journalists in the West Bank to cover the territory's first democratic elections. She graduated magna cum laude in Anthropology from Princeton University and received a Master's in Journalism from Columbia University.
