Michael Flynn is a writer based in Geneva, Switzerland. A former associate editor of the Chicago-based Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Flynn has also worked as a freelance journalist in Spain and Central America. He has written on a range of topics, including migration crises in Latin America, the campaign to ban landmines, the conflict in Chiapas, Mexico, science and human rights, Cold War espionage, and the plight of sick nuclear weapons workers. His articles have appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Inter Press Service, Tompaine.com, Costa Rica's Tico Times and Mesoamerica, and Mexico's Reforma. He studied philosophy at DePaul University and international relations at the Geneva Graduate Institute of International Studies.
