Sara Olkon
Sara Olkon is a general assignment reporter at The Miami Herald, which she joined in 1999. Her assignments have included overseas stories in Cuba and Guatemala and domestic stories such as the 2000 Presidential election controversy, the Elian Gonzalez case and the anthrax scare. Prior to joining The Herald, she worked for The Associated Press, The Providence Journal and The Wall Street Journal. She began her journalistic career as an intern on the Op-Ed page at The New York Times. She graduated with honors from Tufts University and has a master's degree in Journalism from New York University.
