Daniel Lovering
Daniel Lovering is a staff reporter for The Associated Press, based in Bangkok, Thailand. He has covered economic and general news � from the Asian tsunami to elephant polo tournaments � in Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar (Burma) and Laos since 2000. Before joining the AP in 2002, he was a Bangkok-based reporter for the French news agency Agence France-Presse. Previously, he covered the Internet industry in Southeast Asia for asia.internet.com, an online trade publication, and wrote for several newspapers and magazines, including The Asian Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Business Week and Scientific American. In 1999, he worked as the Asia researcher for the Committee to Protect Journalists in New York. He began working as a freelance journalist in 1995 and has written for more than a dozen publications. Lovering graduated from Oberlin College with a degree in English and earned a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
