IRP Fellow Macarena Hernandez named first UHV Victoria Advocate Endowed Professor of the

2008 IRP Fellow Macarena Hernandez has been appointed as the first Victoria Advocate Endowed Professor of the Humanities at the University of Houston-Victoria. Hernandez, whose IRP project took her to the southern Mexican border for a story on immigration for PBS's "FRONTLINE/World," will work with students and journalists in her new position.
