John Rash is a columnist and editorial writer for the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. His editorial writing focuses on foreign policy, and his column, “The Rash Report,” examines the intersection of media, politics, culture, and society. In addition to his work at the Star Tribune, he teaches Mass Media and Politics at the University of Minnesota and is an on-air analyst for WCCO-AM radio, the CBS affiliate in Minneapolis. Previously he worked for an advertising agency, Campbell Mithun, for 25 years, most recently as director of media analysis.  He has also been a columnist for Advertising Age and a writer for Delta Sky magazine. Rash holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
