David Francis is a Washington-based journalist who writes frequently on energy and European issues. His work has appeared in the Christian Science Monitor, the Financial Times Deutschland, the Fiscal Times, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, World Politics Review, Foreign Policy and other publications. Previously he was a senior business reporter with the Washington Examiner and a staff writer with the National Journal Group.
He has received numerous awards and fellowships, including an Arthur Burns Award, the John J. McCloy Journalism Fellowship and the Lilly Scholarship for Journalists. He received a B.A. from the University of Chicago and a Master’s degree from Georgetown University.
