Relationships Between Tradition and Modernity
Miranda Kennedy recently spoke at an book reading organized by the International Reporting Project (IRP). Miranda's new book, Sideways on a Scooter, discusses her experiences living and reporting in India for five years.
“I had read that India had changed,” Kennedy comments in this video. “There have been very radical economic changes, and I’d assumed that they had translated into the social and cultural realms.”
However, she explains, these changes are happening inconsistently, and depend largely upon individual families.
