Alex Potter is a photographer and journalist working mostly in the Middle East. Her work explores conflict and trust, loss and isolation within communities and relationships. She aims to bridge the gap between the foreign and familiar by creating thought-provoking and emotional images. Her work can be seen in publications like the New York Times, Harpers, Newsweek, Time Lightbox and NPR. She has been recognized by the Fulbright Scholar Program, The Chris Hondros Foundation, The Magenta Foundation, American Photography, and the Lucie Foundation, among others. She is a founding member of Koan Collective.
