Siobhan Heanue is a journalist and presenter for the Australian public broadcaster, ABC News. Based in Canberra, she reports for a range of national news and current affairs shows spanning television, radio and online. She has covered everything from natural disasters like floods, cyclones and bushfires to legal decisions in the High Court of Australia. She has also appeared on the BBC, CNN, CBS, and reported for American Public Media. Siobhan is interested in the evolution of news reporting and consumption and how it affects the future of public broadcasters and their relationship with their audiences. Heanue was the recipient of the University of Sydney's US Studies Centre inaugural media fellowship, at the World Press Institute in Minnesota. She is passionate about visual storytelling, mobile journalism and the arts.
