Jill Filipovic is an independent journalist and attorney in New York. She is the editor of Feministe, named one of Forbes' 100 Best Blogs for Women, and a weekly columnist at the Guardian, where she covers gender, law, politics and global health. She is also a regular contributor to Al Jazeera America, and her work has appeared in New York Magazine, the Nation, Foreign Policy, the Columbia Journalism Review, Salon, the Yale Journal of Law and Feminism, and others. When she's not writing, she speaks, consults and makes and sells artisan vermouth. She also reported on health and development in India on a 2015 IRP fellowship.
