Meredith Davenport is a freelance photojournalist based in New York. She lived in Latin America for six years, most recently in Costa Rica, where she worked as a staff photographer and regional coordinator for Agence France Presse. Previously, she spent four years in Colombia, where she covered civil unrest, political corruption and drug issues as a freelance photographer for The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Guardian, among other. During that time she also worked on a documentary about child labor in the coal mines in Colombia. She graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.A. in Photography.
