Michael Flynn is a writer based in Geneva, Switzerland. A former associate editor of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Flynn has helped launch several foreign policy and international affairs research programs, including the Geneva-based Global Detention Project (http://www.globaldetentionproject.org) and the Political Research Associates' Right Web program (http://rightweb.irc-online.org). Flynn's work has been supported by the International Reporting Project, the Fund for Investigative Journalism, and the Geneva International Academic Network. His articles have been published by the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Inter Press Service, Asia Times, and Mexico's Reforma, among other media outlets. He holds a bachelor's in philosophy from DePaul University and a master's in international relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
