Christopher Werth is a London-based freelance journalist. He reports regularly for American Public Media’s “Marketplace” from the studios of the BBC World Service, and has traveled across Europe covering the European debt crisis. He has been a frequent contributor to Newsweek, and got his start in public radio at WNYC with NPR’s “On The Media.” Werth currently serves as the president of the Association of American Correspondents in London. In 2010 he was awarded the Henry Demarest Lloyd Fund from the Center for Investigative Reporting to cover allegations of forced evictions in South Africa in the lead up to the Soccer World Cup. He received a Master’s degree in International Affairs from The New School in New York City.
