Sarah Colt is a freelance documentary television producer living in New York City. In 2004, Colt produced a documentary for the PBS television series FRONTLINE/World that examines the emotional impact of Namibia’s struggle over land redistribution fourteen years after independence. Initial filming for the program was funded as part of a IRP Fellowship in International Journalism. From 1997 to December 2003 Sarah Colt worked as Senior Producer at David Grubin Productions producing programs for American Public Television. In addition to producing “Kofi Annan: Center of the Storm”, a ninety minute profile of the secretary general of the United Nations that aired on PBS in January, 2003 her other credits include, “RFK” a two hour biography of the late senator that aired on PBS in October, 2004, “Young Dr. Freud”, a two hour biography of Freud’s early life aired on PBS in 2002 and “The Secret Life of the Brain”, an Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Science, Nature and Technology Programming that aired on PBS in 2000. Prior to working with David Grubin, Colt worked at Guggenheim Productions and The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour. Focusing on documentary still photography, Colt earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1992.
