Sharon Broussard is an associate editor and editorial writer for The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio’s largest newspaper. She is responsible for researching and writing editorials and columns for the Opinion Page. She has travelled to Bangkok and Toronto on behalf of the newspaper to cover international conferences on HIV/AIDS. Previously she covered suburban education for the newspaper, and earlier was a general assignment reporter for the New York Daily News in Brooklyn and Manhattan. She attended the Robert C. Maynard Institute for Journalism Education at the University of California, Berkeley and holds a B.A. in English from the University of San Diego.
