Sumathi Reddy is a metro reporter for The Baltimore Sun where she covers general assignment stories in the city. She has also worked for The Sun in the Annapolis State House office covering the legislative session. Before coming to The Sun in November of 2004, Sumathi worked for Newsday in Long Island for more than three years covering a variety of issues, including local and state politics, state and national stories and Sunday magazine features. Previously, she worked at the Raleigh News & Observer for two years as an education reporter and the Providence Journal as a two-year intern. Reddy gradauted from Barnard College/Columbia University in 1997 with a B.A. in English.
