Julie Schlosser is a writer-reporter for Fortune. She began working for the magazine in 2000 as a general assignment reporter. Since joining Fortune, she has reported on a wide range of stories, from casinos to corporate reform, but she focuses primarily on technology, retail, and investing for the publication. She helped launch Brainstorm, Fortune's conference that brings together world leaders, business executives, and heads of nonprofits in a unique forum to discuss critical global issues. Schlosser holds a master's degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C., and Bologna, Italy, where she concentrated on International Economics and European Studies. She earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California at Irvine.
