You honestly cannot go to Zambia and not see Victoria Falls, or as it’s locally called, Mosi-oa-Tunya (The Smoke that Thunders). Right on the Zambia and Zimbabwe border you can enter the state park and take a path to see the falls in all its glory. I haven’t seen anything like it before. Nature is amazing! Africa is amazing! And just think, I saw Victoria Falls during the winter and dry season. They say during the rainy season, the falls are much more dramatic with higher water volume.

I was in Zambia as an International Reporting Project Zambia Fellow. The International Reporting Project is a part of The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. I was reporting on HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis and how these three infectious diseases acutely affect mothers and children.
