For the next week and a few days I will be in Zambia reporting about HIV/AIDS, malaria, and TB. This afternoon when I was on my way to the grocery store for lunch I popped into a bookstore to take a look around. It was an interesting bookstore. Why? All of the books were wrapped in plastic. On one hand that keeps the books pristine. On the other hand, you can’t read through quickly to see if you even want to buy any!

I looked for a few development books. I saw The Bottom Billion, but I’ve read that already. I may go back to buy Pocket World in Figures 2013 by The Economist. Maybe.

I am in Zambia as an International Reporting Project fellow. Follow my journey on Storify.
