Jamie York is a Brooklyn-based journalist. A native of Maine, he is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and studied radio at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
A recipient of a Ford Foundation Emerging Leader grant, York began producing radio with Dave Isay at Sound Portraits Productions. He worked alongside the Kitchen Sisters to produce the Peabody-award winning \"Sonic Memorial Project.\"
His work has aired on NPR's \"All Things Considered\" and \"Morning Edition\" and on the BBC. York has been a teacher & producer for WNYC's \"Radio Rookies\" and is currently is a longtime producer for the Peabody Award-winning show \"On the Media.\"
