Amy Walters is a broadcast journalist who has covered the war in Afghanistan, the Oscars in Hollywood and much of what’s in between. She has won two Dupont-Columbia Awards and one Peabody for investigative work. Previously, after nearly 15 years at National Public Radio (NPR) and traveling from Jerusalem to Baghdad and New Orleans to Haiti, she was asked to join the team of Al Jazeera America’s flagship show, “America Tonight.” She specializes in special series, longform features and breaking news on television and the radio.
