Yves Sciama is a French freelance science journalist and science writer with a nearly 20 years of experience. Trained in biology and science journalism, he has covered most fields of life sciences and environmental sciences, from GMOs to nanotechnology, climate to environmental health. But since 2003 he has especially focused on sustainability issues, from energy to biodiversity. His reporting trips have taken him to destinations as diverse as Antarctica, Madagascar, the Sahel and Finland. In recent years he has developed a close collaboration with Science et Vie, which is the number one French-language science magazine; but he continues publishing in other important media such as Le Monde, the French daily. He has also done some documentary writing and website designing, and is the author of several books. In 2013/2014 he was awarded a Knight Science Journalism Fellowship at MIT.
