Sarita Santoshini is a freelance journalist based in the northeastern state of Assam in India. She has written in-depth stories and investigative features on human rights, development, and gender issues for publications like Al Jazeera English, The Atlantic’s CityLab, TakePart, GOOD, IndiaSpend, and The Caravan, among others. She was also the 2016 Bitch Media Writing Fellow in Reproductive Rights Justice, and reported from India for the Portland-based feminist media organization on inclusive sex education, safe abortion, and men’s involvement in the fight for reproductive health. She graduated from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai in 2013 with a Bachelors in Mass Media.
