Linda Roth

Linda Roth is an executive producer on CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” She focuses primarily on all of Blitzer’s special editorial projects and top newsmaker interviews. She most recently booked and produced programs that featured world leaders such as Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Israeli President Shimon Peres. She is part of the political team just awarded a Peabody for CNN”S 2008 campaign coverage.  Until February 2009, she was the executive producer of “Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer”, the network’s two-hour Sunday political talk show. An experienced field producer, Roth has worked extensively throughout the Middle East and Europe. In 2003, she embedded with the U.S. Marines on the march toward Baghdad and re-established the CNN bureau, which had been destroyed in the fighting. In 2006, she embedded with Israeli Defense Forces fighting Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon and earned a Headliner award for her work. She began her journalism career over two decades ago at CNN headquarters in Atlanta and has worked as a producer in the network’s bureaus in Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington DC.  Roth graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. An avid world traveler and adventurer, she calls Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, her home.
