Purple Romero is a multimedia journalist from the Philippines. She has written about climate change, gender issues and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations for local and international news organizations. She also works as a freelance producer and has worked with broadcast organizations Al Jazeera and Channel News Asia. Romero has been the recipient of media fellowships from the International Women's Media Foundation, Panos London and Earth Journalism Network.
