Lindsey Mastis is a video correspondent in Los Angeles for Feature Story News. She has reported on the health crisis in LA’s infamous Skid Row, traveled to Aurora, Colorado, to report on the tragic theater shooting, and her report on prostitution and human trafficking was featuring during a special segment on PBS’s “SoCal Insider” news magazine show. As a video journalist Mastis writes, shoots and edits television news reports for several of Feature Story News’ international clients, including Channel News Asia, Jewish News One, and TeleSUR (Latin America). She recently traveled to Iraqi Kurdistan to help train journalists in television broadcasting and social media. Mastis has worked as a video journalist at the CBS-affiliate WUSA-TV in Washington, DC, and as a morning show anchor and reporter at the ABC-affiliate WSIL-TV in Southern Illinois. Mastis is the founder of JournalistApps.com, a blog devoted to teaching journalists how to use smart-phone applications in the field. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
