Oscar Lopez is a journalist and writer who has been reporting internationally for four years. His writing regularly appears in the Guardian, the Telegraph, the Washington Post, Newsweek, Time and many more. His writing focuses on politics and human rights issues, specifically on refugees and LGBT rights: in 2016, Lopez’s feature on LGBT rights in Brazil for Newsweek was awarded a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Magazine Article. Originally from Mexico, Lopez grew up in Australia and is a graduate of Melbourne University and has recently completed his Masters at Oxford University.
