Rachel Konrad is senior communications manager at Tesla Motors. Previously, she was a senior writer for CNET News.com. That beat took her to assembly plants from Sweden to Thailand and she has test-driven cars such as the Fiat Punto, Porsche Boxster and an early prototype of an electric Honda Civic.
