Sarah Jones is a New York-based journalist with a passion for attracting young audiences to hard news. More than 69,000 people follow her on Twitter, MySpace and Facebook, where she shares under-reported news and breaking international and national stories. In 2014 Jones was named Best Journalist in Social Media by a panel of news industry leaders at the 6th Annual Shorty Awards. She is a member of Chatham House, the National Press Club, the Chartered Institute for Journalists and Investigative Reporters and Editors. Jones has worked with CNN; ITN's Channel 4 News; Gulf News; BBC World Service; BBC Arabic; Brook Lapping Productions on the documentary "9/11: The Day That Changed the World"; and ABC 7 News in her hometown of Chicago on a biweekly feature called "Someone You Should Know." Jones is a graduate of City University London's International Broadcast Journalism master's program, which she received with merit.
