Rita Henley Jensen is founder and editor in chief of the award-winning nonprofit news service Women's eNews (www.womensenews.org) and its sister site Arabic Women’s eNews (www.awomensenews.org). Women's eNews is a daily, online, nonprofit news service covering issues of particular concern to women. It has won over 40 journalism awards. Jensen was named in the new National Association of Female Executives Women of Excellence awards in the Social Media Star category for a woman who has harnessed social media to help women connect and thrive. A former senior writer for the National Law Journal and columnist for The New York Times Syndicate, Jensen has won numerous awards, including the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism Alumni award, the Alicia Patterson fellowship, and the Lloyd P. Burns Public Service prize. Jensen earned degrees from Ohio State University and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
